    摘要: We studied mating behavior of 2 pairs of South China tigers (Panthera tigris amoyensis) using focal sampling and all occurrences sampling in the Shanghai Zoological Park, November 2004-March 2005. Mating behaviors occurred mostly during 9:00-11:00 and 13:00-17:00, with a peak at 13:00-15:00. The female displayed solicitating behavior before mating, and if successful in soliciting a male, groveled on the ground while awaiting being mounted. The mating period was 5-6 days and mating bouts averaged 25.6±12.1 seconds. We found are a highly significant difference in mating duration between the 2 males (one-way ANOVA). We also documented some abnormal mating behaviors of the males, such as lack of sexual impulse, incapable of mounting, and excessive vigilance.

    摘要: 通过对虎源流感病毒A/Tiger/Harbin/01/2003(H5N1)的HA基因进行克隆与序列测定,证明该基因全长为1731bp,读码框由1707个碱基组成,编码568个氨基酸。对HA基因的进化分析表明,该基因与H5亚型流感病毒的HA基因同源性最高,其HA裂解位点由6个碱性氨基酸插入序列(RRRKKR)组成,符合高致病性禽流感病毒的分子特征。将HA基因克隆入杆状病毒转座载体质粒pFastBacⅠ,构建重组质粒pFastBacHA;再将该重组质粒转化DH10Bac感受态细菌,在体内进行重组,并经三重抗性与蓝白斑筛选,得到杆状病毒重组质粒BacmidHA;将BacmidHA转染sf9细胞,获得重组杆状病毒。经Westernblotting检测,HA蛋白在重组杆状病毒中获得表达。用感染重组病毒的sf9细胞免疫小鼠,2次免疫后2周可诱导小鼠产生1∶8~1∶16的血凝抑制抗体,表明虎源流感病毒的HA基因在重组杆状病毒系统中得到了正确表达。

    摘要: The kinds and activities of proteolytic enzymes in the digestive systems (tongue, esophagus, stomach, duodenum, liver, pancreas and large intestine) of two Amur tiger cubs (Panthera tigris altaica) were investigated using protein detection and SDS-G-PAGE. The results showed:1) the digestive system of Amur tiger cubs had 30 different kinds of proteolytic enzymes ; 2) the mostly optimal pH for these enzymes was a neutral environment, and an acid condition highly restrained their activity; 3) the proteolytic enzymes in the tongue and esophagus were fewer than in other digestive organs and their activities were weak as well; 4) the duodenum had the most kinds of proteolytic enzymes with the strongest activities under various pH conditions; 5) the 16 kD enzyme bands always existed under neutral and alkalescence pH conditions in all digestive organs except the tongue.

    摘要: 测定了黄海7头伪虎鲸mtDNA控制区5’端533bp的序列,共发现54个变异位点,定义了4种单元型。最大似然法和邻接法的系统树均把单元型聚为2分支。两支之间没有共享单元型且无姊妹关系。分支间的核苷酸序列差异显著地超过了其它海豚类种间的序列差异水平,提示传统意义上的伪虎鲸可能包括了具有显著遗传差别的不同物种,迫切需要开展进一步的研究。

    摘要: In order to investigate the incidence of canine adenovirus(CAV) infection, sera from a total of 109 unvaccinated tigers from 6 districts of China were examined for antibodies to canine adenovirus typeⅠ(CAV-1) and canine adenovirus typeⅡ(CAV-2) by hemagglutination inhibition(HI) test. Antibodies to CAV-1 and CAV-2 were prevalent with positivity rates of 28.4% and 10.1%, respectively. The results suggested that tigers can be infected by CAV.
